Killing Eve BBC1, 9.15pm

They say that patience is a virtue, and fans of this drama have needed buckets of it as they awaited its fourth and final run.

As has been the case with so many shows, filming was delayed by Covid, which means it's almost two years since we last saw Jodie Comer (far right), Sandra Oh (right) and Fiona Shaw as the constantly sparring Villanelle, Eve and the latter's former boss, Carolyn.

At the end of the third run, Villanelle and Eve vowed never to meet again, but you can bet that won't last for long. However, when we catch up with them again they are miles apart. Eve is hunting members of the shady group known as The Twelve and Villanelle is doing something quite unexpected – she's joined a religious community.

Carolyn, meanwhile, will do anything to get back her old status within MI6...
