It’s welcome back for one of the few occasions when viewers can enjoy a marathon TV session with a clear conscience, as every minute is devoted to raising funds for deserving causes.

Lenny Henry (right), Paddy McGuinness, Alesha Dixon, David Tennant and Zoe Ball are among the presenters for a night of top entertainment and comedy, featuring favourite stars and much-loved shows given a makeover just for the occasion.

Look out for The Repair Shop with Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Judi Dench, plus Kylie Minogue joining the cast of Ghosts, and Jack Whitehall challenging football stars at mini-golf. Then, Comic Relief At The Movies (BBC2, 10pm) offers parodies and starry appearances of years past – including Bond and Mr Bean – before The Great Comic Relief Prizeathon (BBC1, 10.35pm) ends the extravaganza.
