BORIS: I’LL BE BACK FOR A BREAK
BORIS Johnson has spoken of his love of holidays in Scotland – but a return visit is on hold due to the crisis in Ukraine.
The PM joked he had ‘failed to catch a glimpse’ of the Skye croft home of Westminster SNP leader Ian Blackford during his most recent holiday. In 2020, the PM stayed at a cottage near Applecross, in Mr Blackford’s constituency, with then fiancée Carrie Symonds, their son Wilf and terrier Dilyn.
He said: ‘Some of my happiest memories are of holidays in Scotland. Recently I had the joy of a holiday in the constituency of the member for Ross, Skye and Lochaber. I didn’t get a glimpse of the croft he occupies, and I wasn’t able to see exactly how palatial it is, but I had a wonderful holiday.’
Mr Johnson added: ‘I will be back if I can but we have a huge global crisis facing us.’
