Convoys of Russian dead leave Belarus at night

- By Georgia Edkins

THOUSANDS of corpses of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine are allegedly being shipped home under cover of darkness via Belarus in convoys of ambulances.

Videos shows lines of vehicles driving through the Belarusian city of Homel with employees in the region’s hospital claiming more than 2,500 bodies had so far been returned to Russia.

The images, posted by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, shows khaki ambulances with blacked-out windows streaming through the streets. Medical staff in the area described ‘overflowing’ morgues with residents in the city of Mazyr claiming to have seen a large number of bodies being loaded on to trains.

One doctor claimed: ‘The bodies are loaded at night so as not to attract attention.’
