Rebel with a worthy cause

- Bradford

It’s sad that the main focus of stories about actress Rebel Wilson (left), who hosted the Baftas last week, has been on how much weight she has lost – never on her new film roles. Alice Thomas, Southampton

It’s funny how Rebel

Wilson losing weight was the only positive thing to come from her presenting the Baftas. I still cringe now, thinking about it.

I’m a big fan of Rebel, at any weight. To me she is just a funny person and it makes me laugh just to see her. She has done well with the weight loss, but her amusing personality hasn’t changed a bit.

Rebel has had a lot of unfair stick about her weight loss. Weight loss should be celebrated. It’s healthy, and the result of hard work. There are few people who don’t care that they are overweight, and I think Rebel hid her pain in humour, even drawing attention to it in the 2012 film Pitch Perfect, in which she played a character named Fat Amy.

Megan Anderson, Hailsham, East Sussex

It seems Rebel has spent so much time losing weight that she hasn’t been able to do any work. I can’t even recall the last film she was in. R. Bell,
