Fresh is best

While I know The Mail on Sunday is delighted that at least one supermarket is ditching ‘best before’ dates, I find it very useful to buy things which have an assumed longer life to avoid waste. I am a widower living on my own so I need to buy the freshest vegetables that will last the whole week.
