YOUR AMAZING BODY

NO TWO people have the same kneecaps, and they can be used to identify a person just like fingerprints.

Research shows that each kneecap, or patella, as it is medically known, is uniquely structured. The bone, found at the front of the knee joint, is so individual that, in 2013, scientists at the Lawrence Technological University in Michigan began developing an airport security system that used a sophisticated MRI scanner to identify passengers based on their patella structure. Initial tests found the machine to be 93 per cent accurate.
