Boy aged 14 sexually assaulted in public toilets
A PENSIONER is being hunted by police after a teenage boy was sexually assaulted in the public toilets of a popular park.
The 14-year-old boy was approached by the man, who is thought to be aged around 70, at The Meadows, Edinburgh, on Friday afternoon. The man – described as white, 5ft 6in and slim with white stubble – walked off towards nearby Hope Park Terrace when a member of the public entered the toilets.
Police Scotland say officers are patrolling the area and have appealed for the public’s help in the investigation.
Meanwhile, two teenagers were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after being stabbed in the street.
The victims, aged 15 and 16, were attacked in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, at around 9.30pm on Friday. Their condition is not yet known.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said inquiries are ongoing and that officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
