DOCUMENTARY Gazza
BBC2, 9pm
The second part of the film begins in 1993, with the pressure on Paul Gascoigne (above) to star for England at the next World Cup. Off the pitch, Gazza’s life is falling apart, amid problems in his relationship with soon-to-bewife Sheryl. Gazza’s goal against Scotland at Euro 96 restores his national-hero status, but there is devastation on the horizon as his marriage crumbles and he is left out of England’s squad for the 1998 World Cup. ★★★★☆
