Peter Hitchens’s column on no-fault divorce was spot-on. At last, somebody with the courage to speak out about how marriage is now so undervalued that the marriage certificate is worth less than the paper it’s printed on.

If love fades, and the reality is sometimes it does, it simply isn’t possible to carry on living with someone and maintain anything like a semblance of quality of life. Yes, it would be lovely if everyone lived in happy families where everyone respected each other, but life really isn’t like that.
