Alan Dein (right) hosts a new run of the series in which he meets people from around the world via their social network accounts.

His first encounter is with a regular participant, a Ukrainian woman who this time offers her reflections on the conflict with Russia.

The one and only Chesney Hawkes is the latest guest to join Ken Bruce (Monday-Friday, Radio 2, 9.30am) to choose the Tracks Of My Years. They include songs by Elvis Presley and his dad Chip’s band The Tremeloes.

In Drama: Pretty Vacant (Radio 4, 2.15pm) a housing charity receives an offer that may be too good to be true. Tim McInnerny heads the cast.
