Last month marked the centenary of Jack Kerouac’s (right) birth.

His novel On The Road was a sensation when it was published in 1957, but as Geoff Dyer, A.M. Homes and Holly George-Warren examine his legacy, they ask if his writing and image still resonate the way they once did.
