Its makers describe this series as TV’s most leftfield engineering show, but some viewers may wonder if it’s also a way for Richard Hammond (below) to get out of the housework. He begins by challenging two teams of engineering enthusiasts to create a chain-reaction machine that can make his bed while he’s in the bath – and the more complicated it is, the better. ★★★☆☆
