Diallo calls out ‘racists’
AMAD DIALLO has claimed he received ‘racist insults’ after Rangers’ victory at Motherwell.
The on-loan Manchester United attacker made a rare start for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team at Fir Park.
But his afternoon was cut short when he was replaced by Calvin Bassey as the Rangers boss was forced into a tactical switch following Leon Balogun’s first-half red card.
The 19-year-old posted on Twitter: ‘I always look on the bright side ... I get racist insults, they insult my mother but as a practicing Muslim I was raised differently and my education is to respect everyone… thanks to those who make me feel important a hug to you and happy Sunday.’
Diallo did not say when the abuse occurred or from whom. His post also included photos of him playing for Rangers yesterday and the club’s fans.
