As the convoluted sitcom returns, the two separate families sired by the late and adulterous Colin have become friends. Despite coming from different sides of the tracks, plummy-voiced Cathy (Ellie White) and straight-talking Cat (Lauren Socha, both centre) are happily being half-sisters.

Energised performances from a game cast paper over cracks in the material, and the upbeat tone and moments of generosity and kindness help too. ★★★☆☆
