Norwich relegated

NORWICH were relegated to the Championship after a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa yesterday.

Ollie Watkins opened the scoring for Steven Gerrard’s side in the 41st minute and Danny Ings netted in stoppage-time to condemn the Canaries to the drop.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace came back from behind to win 2-1 at Southampton. Oriol Romeu gave the Saints a ninth-minute lead but Eberechi Eze levelled on the hourmark for Palace. Wilfried Zaha struck in stoppage time to give the Eagles all three points.

Goals from Alexis Mac Allister, Leandro Trossard and Yves Bissouma steered Brighton to a dominant 3-0 victory away to Wolves, who have now lost four of their last five matches.
