AIRDRIEONIANS will face Queen’s Park for a place in the Championship after a 6-4 extra-time win over Montrose.

Callum Smith gave Airdrie hope before the visitors restored their two-goal buffer.

Chaos unfolded as Smith netted two more and Calum Gallagher sent the tie into extra-time.

Airdrie scored twice again before a late consolation.

Airdrie boss Ian Murray said: ‘We took heart watching Madrid and Rangers come back and said never give up.’
