Lucky Orson’s a high roller
I’M not saying the Fry family is reckless when it comes to wagers, but head of the confectionery dynasty Cosmo and his son Orson once found themselves fighting to save their holiday home in the south of France in a game of dice. Cosmo, who introduced the ancient Peruvian dice game of Perudo to England in 1982, put the house up as a prize when they both took on a complete novice – who promptly won three games and knocked Cosmo out of the contest. Amazingly, Orson pulled it back and the house is still in the family! The 25-year-old, right with model girlfriend Alexa Chung, now wants to boost the game’s popularity and recently organised a tournament at the Pelican pub in Notting Hill. Roll up…
