The excellent Scottish actress Rose Leslie (right) has been steadily rising towards top billing for some time – through Game Of Thrones, The Good Fight, Vigil – and now here she is in the lead role in this sixepisode adaptation of the Audrey Niffenegger bestseller. Leslie is Clare Abshire, the spouse of the title. Theo James (right) plays her partner, Henry. ‘Time travel – it’s not a superpower,’ he says at the start of the first episode. ‘It’s a disability.’ He keeps involuntarily timetravelling. Sometimes he can be gone days before pinging back to where he was before. Sometimes it’s months. It makes relationships… complicated. From Monday
