Joe Wicks: Facing My Childhood BBC1, 9pm

The nation took him to our hearts with his YouTube workouts during lockdown in 2020. But now Joe Wicks, right, addresses the topic of mental health in a revealing documentary.

Opening up about his own vulnerabilities, he talks about his turbulent childhood with a father who was a heroin addict and a mother suffering from OCD. At the time he thought his life was normal, and he now knows from thousands of messages he has received from young fans that many other families are struggling with mental health issues with little support – although there is help from the one charity dedicated to helping children in this situation, Our Time.
