TANSER KEEN TO SIGN OFF WITH VICTORY

- By Graeme Macpherson

SCOTT TANSER hopes to keep the St Mirren fans happy by rounding off the season with a win at Aberdeen.

The Saints faithful have been desperate to see Dons boss Jim Goodwin fail after he ditched Paisley for Pittodrie.

That strength of feeling hasn’t gone unnoticed within the St Mirren dressing room and Tanser would be happy to oblige.

He said: ‘I’ve seen how the Saints fans feel about it all. When things go against Aberdeen, they’re all for it.

‘Jim did a good job here but he wanted to move to

Aberdeen and he did. We’ll just go up there and try to get the three points.

‘If we get a draw, we finish above them and that would be good. We want to finish as high up as we can.

‘It’s not really feasible to end up above Livingston because of the goal difference. Eighth is probably the highest we can finish, so that’s what we’ll be going for.’
