Holiday horror as toddler is killed by car

A BRITISH toddler has been killed by a car after wandering out of a house during a family holiday in Ireland.

The heartbroken parents of the child thought he was still in bed when the tragedy occurred.

The 21-month-old boy was hit by a vehicle just after

9am yesterday outside the village of Ballinagare in County Roscommon.

Irish police are treating his death as a ‘tragic accident’.

A source said: ‘A neighbour was turning into his land when he noticed a bump.

‘When he got out of his jeep and saw the toddler, he ran straight to the house and alerted the people inside.’
