Now Brad Pitt’s in the pink – and he even dabbles in double denim

- By Isolde Walters

IT WAS only last month that Brad Pitt raised eyebrows when he stepped on to the red carpet wearing a linen kilt.

Our pictures show that he is keeping up the flamboyant style as he continues on the promotional trail for his new action movie, Bullet Train.

The Hollywood heartthrob sported a salmon-pink suit with matching trainers at the premiere of the film in South Korean capital Seoul last week. He finished the eye-catching ensemble with a coordinating face mask.

At the Los Angeles premiere, he opted for a fresh green suit with draw-string bottoms worn over a teal polo shirt with mustard yellow trainers.

Less stylishly, however, he was photographed wearing jeans and a denim jacket – a look rarely seen since Shakin’ Stevens topped the charts in the early Eighties.

All the outfits, as well as the famous kilt, are bespoke looks created for Pitt by Haans Nicholas Mott. The menswear designer revealed that it was 58-year-old Pitt who came up with the idea for a kilt paired with chunky boots and a blush-coloured shirt.

‘I love working with Mr Pitt because he has a clear sense of how he wants to be in the world and we make work in that space,’ the New York-based designer said. ‘For example, Mr Pitt proposing an espresso linen skirt to go with the linen jacket.’

It is not the first time Pitt’s adventurous fashion sense has caught attention. The movie star famously posed in a sequin minidress in Rolling Stone magazine to promote the cult classic film Fight Club.

When he was promoting his turn as Achilles in Troy in 2004, he told Vogue that ‘men will be wearing skirts by next summer’.

That prediction might not have turned out to be correct, but Pitt is clearly still determined to push the sartorial envelope.
