In this 1984 road movie, Travis (Harry Dean Stanton), who has been off the grid for four years, wanders out of the Texas desert and is reunited with his brother (Dean Stockwell). He has been looking after Hunter, the son Travis abandoned. Travis and Hunter bond and then he sets about tracking down his wife

Jane (Nastassja Kinski, above). Directed by Wim Wenders and with a script co-written by Sam Shepard and a celebrated, melancholy score by the guitarist Ry Cooder, it’s a strange, moody film, much beloved by arthouse audiences. Available now, until Sep 9
