Investigating Diana: Death In Paris
Channel 4, Sunday & Monday, 9pm
Amid the grief and disbelief that followed the death of Princess Diana (right) when her car crashed in an underpass in Paris in 1997, wild, unfounded speculation soon emerged that this was no tragic accident, but that she had been killed by shadowy figures within the Establishment.
With the conspiracy theories still in circulation a quarter of a century on, this four-part documentary examines the evidence of what happened that August night to separate fact from fiction.
The series features detailed interviews with police from Britain and France who were involved at the time and in the followup investigations, including detectives who have never spoken before on camera, as well as photographers (Daniel Angeli, inset) who were chasing Diana’s car. The entire series is on All4 immediately after the opening episode.
