Jamaica 60 6 Music, from 7pm

As part of the station’s celebration of Jamaica’s 60 years of independence, this series’ six episodes are being broadcast back to back. Each edition focuses on music made popular on the island and features songs by artists including Bob Marley (above) and Prince Buster.

In Who Are The ‘22’? (Radio 4, 8pm) Professor Sir David Cannadine charts the origins of the 1922 Committee, the Conservative backbencher group.

During the past 50 years, animated movies have featured some amazing tunes. There’s a chance to hear a countdown of the best of them during Radio 2’s Ultimate Animated Movie Song Vote (Radio 2, 2pm).
