Crack down on cycle louts

-

The Mail on Sunday has shown just what a law-breaking bunch many cyclists are after your survey revealed them brazenly jumping red lights outside Buckingham Palace. They only act in this way as they know they cannot be identified. Motorists pay a small fortune to use our roads so it is only right and fair that cyclists are treated the same way.

Terence Matthews, Upminster

I’m a cyclist and I like to think I abide by the rules and regulations, so it saddens me to learn that others don’t. I receive a lot of stick about being a hazard on the roads. However, traffic can be unkind – they cut me off and verbally abuse me. We should be encouraging cycling as an alternative to car use.
