Stolen: Catching The Art Thieves BBC2, 8pm
This new three-part programme examines the world’s most audacious art heists. It starts in Frankfurt in 1994, when Turner’s works Shade And Darkness and Light And Colour were appearing at the Schirn gallery while on loan from the Tate – until they were stolen.
Those involved in the case discuss the investigation that followed, which took them into Serbia’s terrifying underworld.
