Ange’s stock will rocket if Celtic start winning in Europe

CELTIC boss Ange Postecoglou has been linked with the vacant Brighton job. Keep doing what he’s doing and English sides will come calling.

There is just one thing he has to achieve first, though — show he can win games in Europe.

Defeat to Real Madrid brought his record in UEFA competition to seven losses in 10 with victories coming home and away against Ferencvaros and in a dead rubber with Real Betis at home.

Celtic were excellent in the first half against Madrid. They showed real signs of punching above their weight, but must translate that into results.

Getting into the Europa League and going deep there must be a major target. Do that and Postecoglou can write his own pay cheque.
