TURF HOUSE, GLENCOE
This replica of a 17th-century dwelling was built using traditional materials, tools and techniques by a team of craftspeople in 2021. it has the same footprint as one of the turf and creel houses excavated by the National Trust’s archaeologists.
Jackie says: ‘in the heart of Glencoe, it transports you back. You get a real feeling of what it was like for the hardy highlanders during one of the most turbulent and bloody periods in scottish history.’
