WERNER NETS VITAL DOUBLE

TIMO WERNER and Christopher Nkunku both scored twice to help RB Leipzig to a much-needed 4-0 win over VFL Bochum in the Bundesliga yesterday.

The home victory over bottom-of-the-table Bochum lifted Leipzig to 10th.

Former Chelsea striker Werner opened the scoring on 15 minutes. Nkunku doubled the lead from the penalty spot eight minutes later and Werner added a third on 53 minutes.

French midfielder Nkunku missed a spot-kick just after the hour-mark but made amends by rounding off the scoring for Leipzig with just five minutes remaining.
