Strike derails trains again
RAIL services were heavily disrupted yesterday, with only one in five trains running, as the RMT staged another one-day strike.
Leader Mick Lynch claimed the public have ‘a lot of sympathy’ for rail workers in their dispute over pay and conditions.
But Kate Nicholls, of trade body UK Hospitality, said: ‘Given Saturday is usually the busiest day for most hospitality venues, another rail strike will be a further blow to businesses facing a tsunami of rising costs.’
