Universities need to learn lessons
I was saddened to read that the student who took his life in lockdown was one of 11 in just six years at Exeter University.
I went to a university in Wales and the first year I was there, two students committed suicide and two others attempted it. That was more than 38 years ago. It would seem that universities are still not doing enough for student welfare and lessons need to be learned.
