KATE’S HELP FOR ADDICTS

THE Princess of Wales has urged people to end the ‘shame of addiction’ and seek help.

Kate, patron of The Forward Trust charity, today issues a rallying cry to combat the issue.

The Princess, pictured left in a video for the Taking Action On Addiction campaign, says it is ‘a serious mental health condition that can happen to anyone, no matter what age, gender, race or nationality. Shame of addiction is stopping people and families asking for help and people are still losing their lives. And so today, during Addiction Awareness Week, I want to share a message of support to those who are continuing to suffer’.

The Forward Trust recently published the results of a poll that showed increased levels of problem drinking, gambling and drug relapse during the Covid pandemic.
