A Jolie long wait

AUTHOR Simon Sebag Montefiore has just written a book entitled The World (which he says he intends to send to close pals King Charles and Camilla) but he and Hollywood megastar Angelina Jolie, left, are still in a bind over one of his biographies. Angelina took out an option on Simon’s book about Catherine the Great, hoping to turn it into a film, but seven years on and nothing has been made. Simon remains hopeful though and thinks someone will come to the rescue, as he says the current works about the Russian empress are ‘sniggering’ and ‘naff’.

The historian insists: ‘One day someone will definitely make it happen.’ Any takers?
