Mystery as neurosurgeon goes missing
A NATIONWIDE search has been stepped up for a neurosurgeon who has been missing since last Sunday.
Michael Fitzpatrick, clinical director of neurosciences at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, has not been seen since leaving his home in Cumbernauld and has not contacted family or friends.
Mr Fitzpatrick is 58, 5ft 8in and has grey/white hair. He was wearing a blue RAB hooded top and carrying a gym bag.
A police spokesman said: ‘Anyone who may have seen Michael since this time, or who has information which may assist us with inquiries, is urged to contact Police Scotland.’
