Lily’s fix for a crocked world

-

LILY COLE is saving the planet… one plate at a time.

The model and eco-warrior, right, tells me that she tries to live a more sustainable life by using only Japanese Kintsugi crockery – broken items glued back together using powdered precious metals such as gold or silver.

Lily, 34, recently attended COP27 in Egypt, where she auctioned off a gold necklace in the shape of Africa to raise money for Oxfam’s work tackling the hunger crisis in east Africa. Named Sexiest Vegetarian of the Year way back in 2013, Lily stopped flying for two years (one during the pandemic) and tells me she would definitely stop again in future.
