An insult to oldies

It was reported in last week’s MoS that music festivals have been told not to book any more ‘wrinkly old white men’ such as Paul McCartney. As an older person, I find this phrasing insulting in the extreme. Fair enough, use younger people at music festivals and add more women, but to use this description simply seems racist and ageist.
