SNP risking trouble with wild claims
Following the Supreme Court decision on Indyref 2, the warning by Chief Constable Sir Iain Livingstone that Scotland could be facing a ‘potential breakdown in social cohesion’ should not be taken lightly.
Just look back to 2014 and the threatening activities of some SNP supporters before an agreed referendum.
With a party so keen on the politics of grievance, and a predisposition to making wild claims about Scotland’s oppression and inescapable captivity in a Union enforced by Westminster, the Chief Constable is correct in issuing a gentle warning to citizens and politicians to avoid making inflammatory statements or encourage activities which may lead to public disorder.
