THREE PINES AMAZON CRIME DRAMA

Quirky Canadian crime procedural based on the

Chief Inspector Gamache novels by Louise Penny. Gamache (Alfred Molina) is sent to investigate the murder of a woman at a curling match in the seemingly delightful town of Three Pines in Quebec. LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER NETFLIX FILM

This intelligent, sensitive and good-looking adaptation of

D.H. Lawrence’s steamy novel is worth catching. There’s still a lot of sex, of course, as well as a touch of the Downton Abbeys, but The Crown star Emma Corrin (above) is superb as Lady C., while Jack O’Connell, so good in SAS Rogue Heroes, makes an excellent Mellors. Oh, and look out for Joely Richardson, who played Constance 30 years ago opposite Sean Bean and now plays Sir Clifford’s nurse. From Friday

WHITSTABLE PEARL ACORN TV DRAMA

The cosy crime drama set on the Kent coast and based on books by Julie Wassmer is back for a second series.
