MOTORISTS are advised to expect delays as a wideload travels through North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
The load, a 404-ton transformer, will be leaving General Electric on Lichfield Road in Stafford at around 9.30am on Monday.
It will then travel up the A34 via Stone, Newcastle and Talke before crossing the county border into Cheshire.
After crossing over into Cheshire, police will escort the vehicle to Browns Bank on the A54 near Congleton.
On Tuesday the load will be escorted from Browns Bank to Kelsall Hill layby, a journey of around three and a half hours – and on Wednesday it will travel to its final destination at Ellesmere Port Docks.
