JORDAN CRANSTON Linked with a move to the Vale in the summer in some sections of the media, but that speculation was wide of the mark. The 25-year-old, who played for Neil Aspin at Gateshead, joined Morecambe from Cheltenham in the close season.

SAM LAVELLE The 22-year-old, who has youth caps for Scotland, was on the books at Bolton and Blackburn.

STEVEN OLD The 32-year-old centre-half signed from Kilmarnock in 2017. Signed a new two-year deal in the summer.

LUKE CONLAN The 24-year-old left-back joined the club in 2016 after impressing on loan from Burnley.
