THE company behind some of Staffordshire’s best restaurants is creating 150 new jobs in the next year – and will be opening another two venues.

Parogon Pub Group is kicking off 2019 with a campaign to recruit new employees across its portfolio of venues around Newcastle, Nantwich and Stafford.

The new jobs will take the company’s workforce to around 500 staff. The positions will include frontof-house and waiting-on staff, as well as chefs and restaurant managers.

Roles available will be at the business’ various sites including The Swan with Two Necks, in Blackbrook; The Wayfarer, in Stone; and The Orange Tree, in Trent Vale; as well as Blockhouse at The Sheet Anchor, in Baldwins Gate; The Boars Head, in Nantwich; and The Seven Stars, in Stafford.

The recruitment drive comes as Parogon has unveiled plans to open two new restaurants by the end of next year.

These will be The Broughton Arms, in Balterley, and The Red House, in Lilleshall, Shropshire.

Richard Colclough, director at Parogon Pubs, said: “We are looking for people who want to grow and develop into the new sites.

“Many of our members of the Parogon team have joined the company due to its excellent career progression opportunities. Every member of staff is valued and rewarded for their hard work and dedication.”

Parogon Group is owned and operated by five local shareholders.

Over the last 10 years the company – which turns over in excess of £10 million – has taken over six sites and reinvented them.

Now the company has aspirations to make The Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For list.

Richard added: “We know the key to a successful business is its staff.

“We pride ourselves on running a happy workforce, with plenty of progression opportunities as well as plenty of fun activities for everyone to get involved in.

“We’re passionate about offering a relaxed dining experience and exceptional customer service, so we’re looking for people with the same passion and integrity as us.” ■ For a full list of job positions, and for more information on how to apply, visit parogonpubs.co.uk/jobs/
