SEX offender Joshua Henson has appeared in court after failing to comply with his notification requirements.

The 25-year-old, of Victoria Road, Fenton, is supposed to register with the police annually following a conviction for a sexual offence, but failed to do so in November. Henson pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the notification requirements.

Lesley Barnett, mitigating, said Henson had forgotten the date he was supposed to register because of problems in his personal life.

Magistrates fined Henson £60 and ordered him to pay £135 costs.
