DRIVER HAD DRUNK A GLASS OF WINE
DRINK-DRIVER Brynley Williams was caught driving while over the limit – after drinking one glass of wine.
North Staffs magistrates heard police stopped the 59-year-old in Grange Road, Wolstanton, at 12.15am on December 8.
Williams, of Garth Street, Hanley, admitted he had drunk a large glass of wine. He later gave an alcohol reading of 49 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
He admitted driving while over the alcohol limit, and a further charge of driving without insurance.
Magistrates fined him £140 plus £135 court costs he was disqualified from driving for 38 months.
