DRIVER HAD DRUNK A GLASS OF WINE

DRINK-DRIVER Bryn­ley Wil­liams was caught driv­ing while over the limit – after drink­ing one glass of wine.

North Staffs mag­is­trates heard po­lice stopped the 59-year-old in Grange Road, Wol­stan­ton, at 12.15am on De­cem­ber 8.

Wil­liams, of Garth Street, Han­ley, ad­mit­ted he had drunk a large glass of wine. He later gave an al­co­hol read­ing of 49 mi­cro­grams in 100 millil­itres of breath – the le­gal limit is 35.

He ad­mit­ted driv­ing while over the al­co­hol limit, and a fur­ther charge of driv­ing with­out in­sur­ance.

Mag­is­trates fined him £140 plus £135 court costs he was dis­qual­i­fied from driv­ing for 38 months.
