GRICE MAKES HIS MARK WITH SIX OF THE BEST...
FOLEY Meir striker Mark Grice scored a double hat-trick in his side’s 10-0 Premier Division thumping of Ball Haye Green.
Grice took his tally to 13 goals in six outings this season with half-a-dozen goals in Saturday’s emphatic success.
And it could have been even more. Foley Meir scored their 10th with 20 minutes remaining, but a string of fine saves by the visitors’ keeper prevented them from adding to their tally.
Ball Haye Green kept going to the end and could have earned a consolation, but missed a late penalty.
Grice helped himself to four goals in the first 45 minutes - and Kyle Johnson was also on target - to put the result to bed by the break.
There was no let up from the leaders on the resumption, though, as Grice added a couple more, Johnson completed his hat-trick, and Ben Rowley was also on target.
Redgate Clayton had a comfortable afternoon as they beat Abbey Hulton United 6-2.
A four-goal blast inside the opening 27 minutes put the home side firmly in command - and Abbey couldn’t find a meaningful way back.
Chris Smith converted a 13th-minute penalty to put Redgate ahead, before Steve Davies doubled the lead three minutes later.
Dom Dale then netted in the 21st and 27th minutes to hammer home Redgate Clayton’s dominance.
Abbey Hulton pulled a goal back shortly before the break, but the fourgoal cushion was reestablished in the second period when Ross Harrison netted a superb 25-yard volley.
Jack Finney made it six just past the hour before Abbey pulled another goal back.
Jack Harrison’s second-half goal was enough to secure Eastwood Hanley a 1-0 home win against Alsager Town Reserves, while Ashbourne defeated Audley and District by the same scoreline.
Leek CSOB and Wolstanton United shared the spoils after a six-goal thriller, while AFC Alsager won 4-1 on their venture to Walsall Phoenix.

Milton United defeated Lees CSOB Reserves 5-1 to make it nine points out of nine.

Keele University’s first game of the campaign ended in a 6-1 defeat against Wolstanton United Reserves, while Shenstone Pathfinder made it backto-back wins with a 2-0 home triumph over Lichfield City.
Hawkins Sports beat Eastwood Hanley Development 5-2, Ball Haye Green Reserves prevailed 3-2 at their Cheadle Town counterparts, with Chesterton AFC banking the points from a 2-1 success at Audley and District’s second string.
There were plenty of goals in Division Two - with the match between Huthman FC and Foley Meir Development providing 11.
Foley Meir ran out 8-3 winners to continue Huthman’s difficult start to the season.
