Radius extends its reach with Irish telecoms firm acquisition
B2B services provider Radius Payment Solutions has made another acquisition. The Crewe-based business, which provides services including telecoms, fuel cards, vehicle tracking and insurance, has taken over Connect Total Communications based in Northern Ireland.
Connect Total Communications is a business telecoms provider headquartered in Belfast, with additional offices in Aberdeen and Lewes. It was founded in 2007 by Matthew Brown.
Its products and services include landlines and mobiles, business broadband and IT apps, which it delivers as a ‘unified communications solution’ for its business customers. Now it has been acquired by Radius in a move which ‘substantially’ increases the firm’s mobile base and geographical footprint.
It is the sixth acquisition made by the company in this sector in the last two years.
Bill Holmes, CEO of Radius, said: “We are really looking forward to working with Matt and his team as they have built a really strong business based around both excellent products and great customer service.
“Our plan is to continue to build on this base and add some of the other elements we have been developing within our telecoms division, which will help us accelerate going forward.
“We welcome Matt and the team to the group and look forward to working closely together over the coming weeks and months.”
In July, Radius Payment Solutions launched technology, mobile and fixed line telecommunications provider Radius Connect, based at its head office in Crewe, following the acquisition of three separate businesses – Pure Telcom, Trinity Maxwell and Reliance Networks.
Ray Ferris, managing director of Radius Connect, said: “The acquisition of Connect Total Communications adds scale to our growing business and enables us to push into a new territory with an established business that has a strong presence in Northern Ireland.
“We will look to grow the Connect customer base in line with our ambition across the rest of the group, whilst continuing to look for further acquisitions to support the buy and build strategy.”
