‘Why are knives out for PM Boris?’
FURTHER to Derek Payne’s letter, headlined ‘PM’S logic is not that of a true leader’ (Sentinel, April 30).
I have to say that I disagree entirely with his comments.
Unfortunately, Prime Ministers are human beings.
This brings with it all the imperfections that we all have as part of being human.
Yes, he has made mistakes, as would anyone faced with the unprecedented issues that Covid-19 has brought.
I’m sure that any other leader of the country would have made their own mistakes, maybe not the same ones as Boris, but mistakes nevertheless.
After being ill himself, he still came back to do his best under very difficult circumstances, something that I feel he has never been given any credit for.
I find it frustrating when in the bigger scheme of things – such as more than 200,000 people dying in India – people can still come up with this latest unnecessary debate about who paid for the refurbishment of Number 10 Downing Street.
It really seems that the knives are out for Boris. LINDA BARNSLEY LIGHT OAKS
