A passion for STEM careers
SCIENTIFIC and technical PR agency Stone Junction has recruited international relations graduate Sabrina Dizdar to join its expanding team of account executives.
Sabrina joins the Stafford company hoping to change the way young girls view science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) careers and highlight the range of roles available to women without a STEM degree.
Sabrina said: “My great grandmother was one of the first women doctors to graduate in Turkey. I want to follow in her footsteps and follow a career in STEM, which I was passionate about during the early stages of my education.
“Technical PR has already allowed me to use my love of science in a way that suits my skillset and open doors into a sector I thought was closed to me.”
Managing director Richard Stone added: “We believe passionately in recruiting young people, bringing them into our industry and preparing them for life as a PR consultant in the best way possible. “Sabrina has joined us at a time when we are securing the next generation of leaders for the agency’s future, and we think her skill set and knowledge of international relations will serve her well.”
