VISITORS to a tourist attraction will now be able to enjoy brunch in newly refreshed surroundings.

The tea room at World of Wedgwood, in Barlaston, has undergone a ‘glow-up’ – with new vibrant interiors and a more extensive menu. Instead of just afternoon tea, the tea room now has a dedicated brunch and lunch menu. Brunch items include freshly baked pastries, breakfast muffin and avocado toast.

The new lunch menu also includes arancini, beef ragu and mushroom and truffle risotto. A little gardeners’ afternoon tea has also been launched for children as well as a vegan afternoon tea.

Tea room team leader Corinne Rawlinson says the menu was extended while work has begun on new fine dining restaurant Lunar in the former dining hall.

The 32-year-old, from Stone, said: “Due to the dining hall closing we made the changes in the tea room to make it more appealing to a wider audience.

“The tea room has also had a glow-up, we’ve injected a splash of colour to make it more vibrant, more welcoming and more relaxed.

“We’ve introduced a full new menu. We now offer brunches and lunches as well as our afternoon tea and cream tea. We also offer a vegan afternoon tea and the little gardeners afternoon tea for children.

“There’s something for everyone in the tea room now, it’s no longer just afternoon tea. We tried to do the menu so that it appeals to families, couples and groups.

“People are enjoying it a lot more, we’ve been doing lots of hen parties and baby showers as well as people just coming for lunch. There’s been lots of people booking in for special occasions.

“Everything in the tea room is served on Wedgwood pottery which makes it more special.”
